Tim Farron: Response to Declaration Day Letter

15/04/2010 No comment

On the day that the general election was declared, I wrote to Tim Farron and Gareth McKeever to set out some of my views and to ask them to set out some of their views. You can see this letter here. I paste below the response that I have received from Tim Farron. I do hope that these issues are discussed in the remaining hustings. I would also be interested in any answers which constituents get from Tim on these issues. I’m more than happy to let the misspelling of my name pass, but Westmorland and Lonsdale cannot afford to let pass the debate around these issues that we need to have.

Dear Jonathon,

Thanks very much for your declaration day letter.  Throughout the campaign I am replying to thousands of letters from constituents on the full range of issues including, no doubt, the ones that you raise and on reflection I will choose do this directly rather than via yourself or other candidates.  No doubt we will have the chance to discuss and debate those and other issues during the campaign.

With best wishes – and good luck!

Tim
