Do you remember “Vote Blue, Go Green“? It seems like a weird and distant memory, like so much of the past. But, now, the notion of voting BNP to go green has emerged, which is considerably more nuts. The Times reports, “a spokesman for the Green Party claimed today that Mr Bessant”, a former Green Party activist, “was in the BNP not because he was racist but because he felt they had better environmental policies”. This makes about as much sense as a racist joining the Green Party not because they are an environmentalist but by virtue of the supposedly superior immigration policies offered by the Greens.
